◉ 074 | Grass is green. Grass is yellow.

The pitch looks perfect

from the stands.

Green. Smooth.

Like a carpet.

Walk down

to the sideline

and it still looks good.

Just not quite as perfect.

Then you step

onto the pitch.

Start playing.

A bump here.

A hole there.

Grass missing

in one spot.

Turning yellow

in another.

And you think,

this looked perfect

from up there.

Life is like that.

You look

at someone else’s life

from the outside

and it looks

like a fairy tale.

Then you look

at your own.

You know

every bump.

Every hole.

Every patch

where nothing

seems to grow.

You’re watching

their life from the stands.

You’re living

yours on the pitch.

But you still

catch yourself thinking,

the grass must be greener

over there.

People are struggling

everywhere.

You just can’t see

every hole from the stands.

And here you are.

On your own patch of grass.

You’ve got

what you’ve got.

Enjoy as much of it

as you can.

Here.

Now.

However imperfect

it looks,

it’s yours.

What matters

is that you’re playing.
